Yassas utilises authentic Greek cooking techniques, where meats are cooked over a coal fire pit, the same tradition used in Greek homes and street stalls. Their slow rotisserie over coals gives their lamb, chicken and pork a smokier, crispier and more succulent flavour than traditional gyros vertical spits.
The restaurant has a strong focus on the freshest seasonal ingredients and sourcing the best cuts of meat from local Victorian suppliers. Coffee is blended in house and the wine list incorporates both Australian drops and an inspired variety of Greek wines.
